Dry, flaky skin is not only unattractive but irritating as well. But instead of picking up a pricey bottle of body scrub, why not head to the supermarket and grab these ingredients below. Not only will it keep your skin smooth to the touch, it will help nourish it from within as well.

Test out these recipes below and let us know what you think:
DIY BATH Brown Sugar & Lemon Body Scrub
  •     1/2 cup brown sugar
  •     1/2 cup salt
  •     1 Tablespoon Kalamansi or Lemon
  •     1 Tablespoon Virgin Coconut Oil
  •     1 Tablespoon Honey
Mix together the brown sugar and salt before adding the kalamansi or lemon juice, virgin coconut oil and honey. Mix well before use.

DIY BATH Oatmeal & Brown Sugar Body Scrub

  •     3/4 cup brown sugar
  •     1/2 cup ground oatmeal - Not the instant kind
  •     1/4 cup pure honey
  •     3/4 to 1 cup of oil - Example: Extra virgin olive, Jojoba, Grapeseed or Sweet Almond oil
  •     1/4 teaspoonx Essential or Fragrance oil of choice (like vanilla) - Optional
Mix the brown sugar and oatmeal together in a large bowl before adding the honey. Then drizzle the oil over the mix before stirring everything together. Once the mix is saturated (sinks to the bottom of the bowl while the oil floats on top) you're done. Feel free to add your own essential oil or fragrance oil as you like.

DIY BATH Coffee Body Scrub

  •     1 cup gluten free oatmeal
  •     1/2 cup organic sugar
  •     1/2 cup organic coffee grounds - Brewed or fresh
  •     1/2 cup raw honey
  •     2 Tablespoons organic olive oil or grapeseed oil - Other high quality oil like almond, coconut, apricot kernal, or palm will do
The great thing about this recipe is that you can make a big batch and store it in the fridge (for up to a week). Place oats (and freshly ground coffee beans) in a food processor and pulse until super fine. Add the grounds, sugar and vitamin C crystals, and pulse a few more times. Now add honey and oil, the vitamin D drops before pulsing again to form a paste. Transfer the mix into a jar and store in the refrigerator and scoop it when you need a quick scrub.
