Pixie cuts take guts because it usually means parting with all that hair. While any girl with confidence can pull it off, the most important thing to keep mind is to get the right pixie for your face.

Oval faces can easily pull any version. If you have a heart-shaped face, remember to keep the pieces around the curved 'heart' part of their face short to balance it out. A round shaped face should keep the sides and back shorter than the top. For those with a longer face shape, keep the top shorter than the sides and back.
Don't think that going short means less maintenance. You want to get a trim every four to six weeks to maintain the shape. If you do decide to grow it out, start by only cutting the sides and back, and let the top grow very long. Once the top strands have lengthened, then start to grow the cut out all together.
